1. How is the gas detector connected to the valve? Is it by an electrical wire or wirelessly?
Answer: The gas detector and valve connected by control wire. There is 0.4m length wire 2×0.75mm2 Double core wire with the solenoid valve. It is used to connect the combustible gas detector with the solenoid valve.
2. How far can the valve be installed from the detector?
Answer: The Valve is with connection wire of 0.4m length. If you need longer, you can add extend wire with same specification.
3. Can the valve be installed outside and the detector inside?
Answer: Yes. But valves should be installed after the main intake valve for easy maintenance.
4. What is the maintenance required for the detector and the valve?
The valve maintenance: It is recommended that users check the valve on and off regularly. To keep the Detector in good working condition. Test it every week using the Test button. Vacuum the detector cover at least twice a year, using the soft brush. Test the gas detector again after vacuuming.
5. What is the lifetime of the detector and the valve?
Combustible gas adopts catalytic combustion sensors, and the general life of such sensors is about 3-5 years. Solenoid valve life depends on switch action times. Normally 5-8 years.

Use solenoid valve or manipulator to shut off gas?

There are solenoid valve or manipulator two types device to use for gas shutting off. What is the difference? How to choose?
Both solenoid valve or manipulator can be used to shut off the gas and work with combustible gas detector.
The difference is solenoid valve working principle is: Provides a (about 1 second) instantaneous DC pulse (DC 9 ~ 12V) power to the electromagnetic coil, and the valve closes quickly. So, the supplied power is pulse DC power.
Solenoid valve is generally used for home gas control with gas leakage detector.
Manipulator using Automatic or manual switching clutch to shut off the gas. The power supply is 12V DC power. Gas shut off time is 6-20s (longer than solenoid valve).
Solenoid valve is more reliable and can be used for home and business gas leakage control. It should be used with gas leakage detector AC powered.
If Ac power is not available, have to use DC 12V or 24V, then may choose manipulator. For example, using in vehicle, there is no AC power, and should use gas leakage detector with manipulator. (The detector is different type as well)

Summary: the gas emergency cut-off solenoid valve is the safety emergency cut-off device for gas pipeline.It can be connected with the gas leak alarm system or fire fighting and other intelligent alarm control terminal modules, etc., to on-site or remote automatic/manual emergency cut off the gas source to ensure the safety of gas use. In the event of a strong, harmful vibration, the valve will close automatically.The valve must be opened manually to meet safety management standards and meet the characteristics of accident treatment.

The valve skillfully USES the interaction of instantaneous electromagnetic force, permanent magnetic force and spring force to realize the function of pulse-driven self-retaining closing valve and manual self-retaining opening valve.
Valve closing driving principle: instantaneous DC pulse drives valve closing (DC 9V ~ 12V/1s)
Instructions
1.There are two valve closing modes in the open state:
(1)to provide a (about 1 second) instantaneous DC pulse (DC 9 ~ 12V) electric energy to the solenoid coil, the valve is quickly closed.
(2) Open the protective cover and manually press the red handle to close the valve. After closing the valve, the state keeps closing. Note: In general, it is not advisable to open the protective cover, otherwise, it may close the valve by mistake.
2. There is only one way to open the valve in the closed state: manually pull up the red handle to open the valve.The open valve state can be maintained. Note: When opening the valve, if it is difficult to pull the handle up, measures should be taken to balance the inlet and outlet pressure of both ends of the valve, and then open the valve after balance.Do not operate in a barbaric manner to avoid damaging the valve actuator.
3. Valve in open state: due to the use of magnetic lock principle design, the valve in the event of strong harmful vibration, the valve may be automatically closed, is a normal situation.If the self-locking force of the opening valve is abnormal (too small), the manufacturer should be notified to repair.
4. When the valve is cut off in an emergency, manual on-site confirmation is required to eliminate potential accidents before manual reset and ventilation can be restored.
● Installation requirements

1.The valve installation unit shall have the corresponding qualifications and install according to the relevant gas pipeline construction specifications.
2. The valve should be installed after the indoor main gas inlet valve for easy maintenance.
3. Install according to the air flow direction indicated by the valve body. The coil of the valve body shall not stand upside down, and horizontal and vertical installation is allowed.
4. Solenoid valve control line should be correctly and reliably connected, the control line has polarity: the white line is the positive pole, the black line is the negative pole, can not be connected backwards.
5. When blowing and clean the pipe, solenoid valve is recommended to be isolated, so as not to damage the valve sealing material by sundries in the pipe.
6. The solenoid valve should be opened before pressure testing of the sealing performance.
7. When manually opening the valve, it is advisable to operate when the valve inlet and outlet pressure is balanced.
8. When the electric valve is closed, do not connect the wrong power supply, such as: connect the wrong polarity, add the wrong voltage or power for a long time, so as to avoid damage to the electromagnetic coil.
9. Any valve damage or component loss caused by improper storage or illegal construction shall not be covered by the company's free warranty.

● Wiring requirements
Cable: It is recommended to use double conductor 2×0.75mm2, and terminal crimping is used for wiring.Control distance: capacitor discharge drive, wiring length less than 50 meters.

It is suggested that users should check the valve on and off regularly. If any fault is found, they should inform professionals or manufacturers to repair it in time.
