Questions of solar beam systems

1、How many zones can connect to panel?
For the moment ,we have 9 sets of host unit , the least one support 4 defense zones, the most one can be up to 1000 zones. If you wanna more zones, we can make according to your requirement.

2、Are your devices working at low temperature (-2 to 15 degrees) in winter time, (17 to 55 degrees) during summer time?
Our detector supported working temperature range :-30C~70C.
We have been sold this product more than 10 years, we have long-term partner in bad weather countries such as Russia、Africa.

3、Are these solar alarms compatible with ademco alarm systems?
The wireless compatible alarm host and receive bell:
Ademco available:HB-BJQ560-A; HB-BJQ560-B; HB-2020C;HB-3030C;HB-G250, HB-4040G, HB-5050G/R (TCP/IP or GSM GPRS)

Ademco unavailable: HB-MFR;HB-2020A;HB-3030A;HB-G10, HB-850 alarm bell

4、what distances can products achieve?
The infrared detection distance for infrared beam is 100 meter, for infrared grating is 10 meter and for infrared light wall is 20-50 meter. The wireless transmission distance is 800-1000 meter. It meets FCC and CE certificate.

5、Do you need a tool to calibrate the transmitter and receiver beams?
Laser pointer is used for calibration of detection distance exceed 50 meter. HB-T001Q3+ has built-in calibrator already.

Infrared grating series: no need laser pointer, because the infrared distance is only 10m , you just need make sure the grating be installed in the same horizontal and vertical plane.
Garden Light&Detector series:no need laser pointer, because the infrared distance is only 20m-50m , you just need make sure the Detector be installed in the same horizontal and vertical plane.
Photoelectric beam sensor series: Infrared distance is 100m. You need to use the laser pointer. HB-T001Q3+ is with built-in LCD calibrator and not need extra laser pointer.
Remarks :After installation, verify the sensors whether be well mounted.(watch the video and the manuals).

6、I need to know how to match the beams with each type of system and how they work?
Firstly: turn on the sensors
Secondly: set the alarm host into coding status
Thirdly: trigger the sensor, so the alarm host can remember the sensor
We have 9 types hosts working as wireless receiver. The steps of programming is different. Please read the manual and watch video for guidance.

7、What is the lifespan of the standby battery?
The lifespan of the battery is more than 10 years.Firstly,Our battery is LFP battery ,its cycle recharge time is 2000 times.Secondly,the capacity of the battery is 500mAh, while standby current consume only 0.5mAh,the sensors can normally work more than 15days without solar charging. So we can got: 2000times (LFP battery cycle recharge time)X15days(standby time)=30000days(about 82 years),deduct any other factors,10 years is available.

8、Please tell me more about perimeter defense. If total fence length to protect is 2800 meters, how many pairs beams are needed?
The working principle of our sensors is the same as wired sensor. One pair beams is needed for every 100 meter. If there is corner or wall is not straight, then add more beams.

Remarks: If wireless distance between sensor and host unit exceed 3km,Signal Repeater (HB-ZFQ) is suggested, one Repeater can enlarge wireless distance 3km,currently we support 4 grades, that’s say we can use 4 ZFQ without signal interference, and wireless distance:4-levels transmission X1km/grade=4000m.so more larger defense area is realized.

9、Does the beam system work at days without sunshine, like UK climate?
Firstly, Our solar panel is made of amorphous material. It can convert light to electric even in cloudy or rainy days,without any direct sunshine. While at rainy days ,the solar panel can generate 2mA current to the battery .Wireless solar beams linkage

Secondly, the static power of our sensors is only 1% of traditional wired

sensor(static power:0.5mA).Besides:the sensors have high-capacity LFP battery inside,can keep the sensors working much more than 15 days without charging.

10、What is the extension of the wireless signal of the signal repeater HB-ZFQ?
Without any obstruction, one transponder can enlarge 3KM wireless distance. Currently we support 4 grades transmission, that’s say we can use 4 ZFQ without signal interference. wireless distance:4 grades transmission X3km/grade=12KM.



11、Is there a signal repeater HB-ZFQ with solar panel?
For the moment, we don’t have solar wireless signal repeater.If that’s necessary to your project, we’ll provide a solar powered device for the repeater.

12、Also please confirm if the wireless link is one way or duplex?
Our wireless link is one way, that is to say sensors transmit wireless signal to host , but host cant send signal to control the sensors. While our sensors will self-check every 2 minutes, if any problem (e.g. low-battery、invalid、light interference etc.) ,Sensors will immediately report to host.

13、What is the mechanism your system uses in order to detect stealing of sensors or jammer the signal in order to tamper the system?
Firstly, the working principle of our sensors is Active infrared detecting, so if any terminal is moved or damaged, sensors will report to host at once. Same time,host will indicate abnormity (e.g. alarming ,invalid , light interference).

Secondly ,the wireless transmission technology we made is FSK + FHSS technology,it has strong ability to anti-interference.( e.g. once sensor was Triggered), it will send 3 signals to host (3 different frequency points),and host can receive these signals independently. This anti-interference technology makes our products more competitive in same line.

14、Do they check status with the sensors , like a test signal? How often?
Our solar sensors will self-check every 2 minutes, if any problem (e.g. low-battery、invalid、 light interference etc.) ,Sensors will immediately report to host.

15、Do your sensors have anti-masking features?
The sensors adopt FSK + FHSS technology,it has strong ability to anti-interference. i.e. once sensor was triggered, it will send 3 signals to host(3 different frequency points),and host can receive these signals independently. This anti-interference technology makes our products more competitive in same line.

16、Do the sensors come with the brackets?
Brackets for sensors are not included in package. If necessary, we’ll configure brackets to your order,but it’s better to purchase in your location, common size is OK.

17、What frequency is this transmitting on and do you have GSM notification by text to cellphones for your products?Our frequency 433MHz (FSK+FHSS technology) once sensor was triggered, it will send 3 signals to host(3 different frequency points),and host can receive these signal independently. This anti-interference technology makes our products more competitive in same line.
Host support GSM is :HB-BJQ-560B,HB-G10.

18、Our main concern is how to communicate your system to an Out sourced Monitoring Service?
Solution 1:using the switch outputs to linkage the monitoring service.

If you wanna not only DVR ,but also need LED lights indicate detailed sensor’s zones and locations(as electric map), suggest : HB-G250(engineering host )+HB-LD(linkage module),HB-LD includes : 32 switch outputs and 120 pieces LED lights
Solution 2: using the internet to linkage the monitoring service. Network module–�surveillance device (suitable for more range project)HB-G250(engineer host) and HB-WT(network module) is a Unit ,and we offer SDK data.

19、the wireless is APPROVED for Canada? What frequency is it? And how far will it work?
Our products was certificated by FCC and CE, and we have many regular Canadian customers, its standard for Canadian frequency. The sensors adopt 433MHz(FSK + FHSS) transmission technology,that to say once sensor was triggered ,it will send three signals(different frequency points) to host. and host can receive these signals independently. This anti-interference technology makes our products more competitive in same line.

20、Are these just sensors or do they act like an alarm system that can report to A central monitoring station for supervision.
We provide the burglar alarm system;
Firstly, we total have 9 sets of alarm host:

Ademco available:HB-BJQ560-A; HB-BJQ560-B; HB-2020C;HB-3030C;HB-G250.

Ademco unavailable: HB-MFR;HB-2020A;HB-3030A;HB-G10

Secondly, our sensor will self-check every 2 minutes, if any problem (e.g. low-battery、invalid、 light interference etc.) ,Sensor will immediately report to host.So that user can make solution at first time.

Thirdly, We have other accessories to realize other functions.

A、433MHz Signal Repeater (HB-ZFQ)

B、433MHz wireless signal to switch-out adapter(HB-ZJQ-3&HB-MFR)

C、linkage module

21、But I’m wondering if the sensibility could be adjusted?

Most of our sensors’ sensitivity can be adjusted by customers. Kindly attention that unusual sensitivity will result in false alarm, such as free falling object. Adjust sensors’ sensitivity as follows:

PIR series:there is a Jumper inside–30S/120S(Item No.HB-T201;HB-T205)
Infrared detector series(Items those can be hand-made):
Regular sensitivity alarming time:200ms (HB-T001S4;HB-T001S8;HB-T001Q3+;HB-T001Q4;HB-T001Q6;HB-T001Q8) Regular sensitivity alarming time:100ms (HB-T002A8;HB-T002S8;HB-T002S8-D)

Ways to adjust sensibility: restart the sensors(both transmitter and receiver)–long time press the receiver’s on/off button 10 seconds–after one beep–press the receiver’s on/off button 5 times(sensitivity time-200ms);press the receiver ’ s on/off button 6 times(sensitivity time–100ms)—OK

Ways to rematch the infrared light of the sensors: restart the sensors(both transmitter and receiver)–long time press the receiver’s on/off button 10 seconds–after one beep–press the receiver’s on/off button 4 times—OK

Adjust only by factory: HB-T001Q2;HB-T001Q3

22、What happens if a bee, or a bird passes through the IR-fence?Bee or bird flying cant trigger the sensor?

Bee of Bird flying will not trigger the sensors

Firstly, if obstacle freely falls and pass through defense area, sensors will not alarm.

Secondly, if 3 infrared holes can’t completely blocked by material, sensors will not alarm.

So, compared with other sensors,our products more effective in reducing false alarm.

23、The IR beams works at 433 MHz?, Could work with other alarms also at 433MHz, or only with your alarm host?

The sensors adopt 433MHz (FSK+FHSS technology) once sensor was triggered, it will send 3 signals to host (3 different frequency points),and host can receive these signals independently. This anti-interference technology makes our products more competitive in same line.

Moreover, the code modulation of our detectors is private protocol, so the detectors are hardly directly match up with third-party 433Mhz alarm host.But we have two ways to contact with third party host.

Firstly ,we have switch outputs adapter to convert wireless signal to wired signal to third-party host(on condition that third-party host has wired zones)

Secondly, Send detailed technical parameters of your host to us,we’ll adjust our sensors and pair with your host ,need to mention that will reduce wireless distance and anti-interference function.

Can I use the 100m beam sensor in 80m distance

What is the infrared beams required actual use distance? For example 100m infrared distance beams?
There are two types of situations: first, which is that some manufacturers try their best to increase the influence of their products and exaggerate the performance of their products at will, deliberately raise the distance, attract customers' attention, and mislead customers. As everyone knows, science is rigorous. In practical applications, if the projector does not use high-power transmitter tubes, it is impossible to meet the actual requirements, and it is easy to produce false alarms; the other type is because of the harsh outdoor environment and various external environmental factors. In order to ensure normal operation in rainy and foggy weather, the customer will automatically use the long-distance detection distance for short-distance during installation. However, if the distance is too close when the beam is used, the infrared diffuse reflection is too strong, but it will not alarm.
HB solar power infrared beam sensor adopts digital changed frequency and multiple frequency emitting technology. It can automatically adjust the emitting power to suit for the environment change.
For 100m beam sensor, it can be used for actual 70, 80, 90 and 100m. For actual use distance less than 70m. There are 2 beam 60m infrared beam, and 50m garden light wall, 20m infrared grating, 8-10m infrared detector.

Why do some of the beams failure at noon or rainy and foggy days?

Answer: When light encounters water droplets or water vapor, phenomena such as scattering and refraction occur, and infrared light is the same. In this way, in rainy and foggy weather, the infrared signal loses more due to refraction and scattering, and some even loses more than 70%. In this case, the general receiver will misreport.
In addition, sunlight is a pan-spectral light, which contains strong infrared rays. We have done rigorous experiments. With the same luminous intensity infrared pulse generator and the same receiver, the signal intensity ratio received on the receiver at noon and at night is 1:5. At the same time, rain, fog, dust, and trees will be more serious. Affect the actual working distance of infrared radiation. Therefore, it is easy to produce false alarms at noon or rainy and foggy days.
In the above two cases, helpless security personnel had to turn off the anti-theft device. But this gives criminals an opportunity. Isn't there a good solution? Yes! Our cross-beam adopts the intelligent transmission function. The principle is that the receiver sends the required light intensity to the projector according to the actual environment on site, and the projector selects the appropriate infrared light emission power according to its requirements to ensure the normal operation of the system . Let’s analyze it in detail. Take our 60-meter cross beam for example, our cross beam will automatically reduce its transmission power by 30% at midnight on a clear day. It will transmit at 100% power at noon, and it will automatically increase to 150% power on rainy and foggy days. . The use of intelligent launch technology extends the life of the launch tube and improves system reliability. Practice has proved that our false positives in bad weather are almost zero.
