How to Select and Install Flame Detectors

Unread post by vedard »

Proper selection and installation of flame detectors are essential for accurately and safely preventing fires.
The selection of flame detectors requires consideration of multiple factors.
Firstly, the application environment should be considered, such as indoor, outdoor, temperature, humidity, and explosiveness. Thermistors or gas fire detectors are suitable for high temperature, humidity, or explosive environments.
The second consideration is the reliability of the flame detector. High precision photoionization or infrared flame detectors are more suitable for places with strict requirements.
The third consideration is the detection distance and speed of the flame detector. Indoor use usually selects flame detectors with a detection distance of 5-10 meters and requiring fast response.
Flame detectors can be installed on walls, ceilings, fixed frames or brackets. During installation, it is necessary to ensure that the detector has a wide field of view to avoid obstruction, and the installation position should be stable and not easily shaken. After installation, it is necessary to debug according to the actual situation. Ensure that the detector can accurately align with the detection area and issue fire warnings in a timely manner.
