Perimeter infrared beam failure troubleshooting

Unread post by vedard »

What should I do if the infrared beam does not alarm or the alarm distance is short?
Completely block a set of infrared light holes at the receiver terminal. If it does not alarm, that means it has low battery or fault. (HB brand solar wireless infrared beam has low battery and fault report). If there is an alarm, it may be that the transmitter and receiver are not aligned or that sunlight is incident into the receiving infrared aperture.
If there are multiple pairs of infrared beams installed, please make sure to install at sequence of TX-RX-RX-TX. Otherwise, it may cause interference from adjacent beams. Therefore, it may cause infrared beams to fail to alarm.
