RS485 alarm host troubleshooting

RS485 is still used in many fields of communication despite the increasing number of new and more modern alarm security systems. Keyboard programming is used after RS485 host wiring.
Step 1: Power on the devices.
Setp 2: Search bus line devices.
Sometimes the bus line device can not be found. Why?
Possible causes: 1. The module is not powered, check the power condition of the module.
2. Module wiring error, 485 bus line positive and negative reverse connection. There are two indicators on the single defense module, one power indicator, always on. Another is communication indicator, keeps flashing. If the indicators are not working properly, there is bus line communication error.
3. Because the distance between the alarm host and the module is too long, the communication signal is weakened.The distance between the module and the host can be shortened appropriately. If it cannot be shortened, the bus signal can be increased by adding bus signal amplifier equipment.
4. Module failure causes host search to fail.Take the module to the alarm host and directly connect it to the bus interface for searching. If it still fails to be searched, the module is fault.
